The nineteenth anniversary of High Country Bus Festival occurs July 19-26, 2015 in Crumpler, North Carolina. Come camp with fellow bus lovers, enjoy the camaraderie, the New River and the music on Saturday by the Bibs and Bare Feet at Twin Rivers Family Campground in Crumpler North Carolina. Information can be found at http://www.highcountrybusfestival.com. You don't need a bus to come.
Hope to see you there!

Question. Is the event ever going back to Grandfather Mountain Campground? It was so scenic there with more room at the campground and a central location for the fire everyone could enjoy. Just curious if that is possible or out of the picture. |

HCBF left Grandfather Mountain because the management became un reasonable. I spent months looking for a campground to move to and found Twin Rivers Campground in Crumpler. Peyton Colvard welcomed the event with open arms and treated the VW folks like gold for 7 years. Because so many folks enjoyed the new location, the event was expanded to go from Sunday to Sunday. Many folks take their vacation during this week. There are no plans to move back to Grandfather Mountain at this time. _________________ Jamie Auch

I have a family situation that means I will need to be reachable.
Does anyone know how cell coverage is at the campground?
For which carrier(s)

I also have AT&T. Cell coverage last year at HCBF was non-existent for me at the campground (and about a 20 mile radius from it). Just made it that much more enjoyable in my opinion...make sure you have printed directions when arriving
Free Wi-Fi is available at the camp office, so you have calling options through that. This year, I am just leaving the campground phone number with those family members who may need to contact me in an emergency and a description of my ride so they can find me. The occasional trip to town also helps check up on voice mail if needed too.
Hands down, the campground is the most stress free place on the planet. You'll love it. _________________ 1969 Beetle - "Olive"

Here's my favorite one from our camera. 150 busses. We were there Thurs night-Sunday. Great people, great camp ground. We're going to take our family vacation there next summer.
