Now that MSD owns Mallory and the replacement parts will be obsolete do u run a distributor you can no longer get parts for?

contacted aircooled.net because they were the only ones I found with the replacement parts online and ordered. Got an email that said back ordered on a points and condenser. Contacted MSD and bought the parts I needed. Was told by MSD they will be fazing out the Mallory products. Aircooled.net is a dealer and couldn't get any. Lame on MSD. They bought Mallory in January. The whole accel company. Mr gasket too.

first set the crank to 7.5 degrees before top dead center with the rotor pointing to the #1 contact in the cap and hook up a generic test lamp to the negative side of the coil and the other end to a good ground. Next turn the key in to the on position but don't start it? Now just turn the distributor until the light comes on.

I have got it started... I have a timing light with a dial on the back... Googled it and got 22 at total advance. Car ran SUPER HOT. Timing set by ear and rev... Cool now. Haven't put under a load. Just have had a hard time finding any GOOD information. Anyone else running this distributor? What timing is it set at?
