I was mistaken the fan is a single speed and yellow/Red and White/Blue are the same so can i just use 1 set and cut the other it wouldnt make a difference right?

Also am i able to reduce the size of the fuel line somehow because the e2000 pump has an 5/6's inlet and outlet and the fuel filter is 5/16's?

Great on your pump. I have used 2 KEP kits, one in my Baja and the other in my buggy and I used the stock throw out bearing in both of them.

Here is a very short video of my Subaru running yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln3_rIVRK3U&feature=youtu.be

I may but it is a long way from driving. I want it to be quiet, in the end I want it to be my DD.

that would be one heck of a dd thats forsure

I hope my adapting kit will be here today so i can finally mount up the engine and start laying out the harness to test to see if the harness is good and it turns on then start figuring out exhaust routing and everything else.

i welded up a bracket or the bottom pins of the radiator (im a terrible welder and this is the third time welding with a stick welder but its solid and not breaking or moving anywhere!

If the adaptor plate has holes for the dowel pins I would try to find some, I forget when I put mine together. One thing with your transmission mount you will be losing ground clearance and you may want to cut the pan down some. I put my motor in at a 15* angle to raise the pan. Good luck on it and the wiring. I actually made mine move under its own power today by hooking up the clutch and putting it in gear and pushing in the clutch and starting it and letting the clutch out and we moved LOL.

i hear i might be able to punch them out through the opposite side of the trans so i might give that a try. how did you manage to add a 15* angle to it? hahah so you basically did a little bump start and thanks hopefully it starts up like i hope it does i believe i have everything hooked up right. does your vw starter have enough torque to start it, i hear mixed options. If it helps mines basically brand new out of the box

I built all new motor and trans mounts to tip the back of the motor up. I have a new rebuilt starter and with good battery cables it cranks fine but with crappy jumper cables it didn't.

alright good so my starter should work just fine then. i got the dowel pins out and put them in the motor. anywhere i can buy an shortened oil pan because if i tried to do it myself i would mess it up and id rather not do that hah.

OHH quick question ed what did you do for the water temp sensor (single wire, not two) did you use your stock VW gauges or did you go after market because i'm having a hell of a time trying to find the right after market one for a gauge. My VDO sender was to big and this other one ( summit racing sender or similar it was just laying around) it fit but the threads didn't and i wasn't about to strip anything to find out.

I don't have any gauges yet so I just have the stock sender in there to plug the hole. Right now the only things on my dash are the key switch that is a universal one and 3 idiot lights, oil pressure, alternator and check engine lights.

its looks like i might have some fair clearance for the oil pan, i wont take it off road until it has a shortened pan, but it is street legal so i can drive it on the street no problem.

and made a cartoon style stencil really quick for the heck of it sprayed it with 2 very light coats so it wont effect cooling.

nice, well no one else seemed to have ran into that problem with the older models and the boxerswaps.com write up for the 95 didn't mention anything about it so i have a feeling i'll be fine Smile Also while checking out some of the stuff on shoptalk forums i noticed them talking about the stinger stand alone setup which seemed interesting. My main question is do i need a fuel surge tank? is it really needed on a basic stock setup, regardless are there benefits?

Dam this brings back memories!
I did the Subi engine swap in my baja about a year and a half ago. I havent looked back, well other to see the rice burners slowly disapearing in the rear view.
