Just dummy fitting my rear fenders before getting ready to prep.

Seems they are suffering from a fair bit of distortion, can anyone help with following questions;

1. How close should fender marry up to body without beading, I have some daylight between fixings ?

2. Any tips on adjusting without belting it with a cold chisel ?

Thanks,
R

Pictures please.

They should be quite tight. I often have had to hammer the mounting flange in a bit on some fenders to get them to fit correctly. They sometimes get distorted after being bolted to a car and need to be reset so they will fit correctly.

I would work on those flanges. They should fit up against the body much more evenly than that.
