So I just recently sold a water cooled part here, and quite frankly I'm surprised I did. It was a rather obscure part, and I originally placed the ad in April of 2008! So yeah, it was for sale on here for 7 years. Any one else have something listed for ever... and finally sell?

what was the part? just wondering....

as a joke, I posted a clapped the f*ck out, very well picked extra rusty 70 bus on here just to see if I could end up in the piss and moan thread. I couldn't believe that I got contacted to buy it. I though it was a joke...paypal and a shipper later, it will finish off it's life as plant food in the UK

I can't think of a single item but I have had ads where I had 8 or 10 of the same thing that took 5+ years to sell.
I still have a few ads like that running.

Recently I sold a pair of recliners after 2.5 years.

When my buddy blew up his Berg 5 gearbox, the pinion was missing 2 teeth. I listed it here on the Samba and sold it!
The photos clearly showed that it was blown up, and I stated it, so no fraud. The buyer paid extra shipping for the "matching" ring gear too.

It was a transmission overlay harness for B5.5 Passat. I had been selling a lot more stuff on here back then (before kids). I guess just for the heck of it, I kept renewing the few ads that were left. Glad that it finally went to someone who needs it.

Thank goodness my wife doesn't know how to post on this site, otherwise I'd come home to an empty parts shed. I have had to pull my sapphire II out of the Goodwill box a few times.

Back in 2008 I had to sell off a whole bunch of parts I had collected well over 20+ years.

If you are into type 3's you know how difficult they are to find, and most important who you are if you ended up with them.

Mint NOS 1500 only foglights and spare
NOS Circle beauty rings
Mint wraparound dash
NOS rear arm rests6v red needle tach
NOS full circle hornring
NOS blue VW emblem seat belts
NOS Bosch blue tip antennae
and the list goes on and on...........the pain.

But I came back with a vengeance. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

BTW they were for my 20 year project.
