Ragtop install...help I messed up

It looks like I didn't stretch the canvas evenly when I contact cemented it down (other side came out fine). Is there any way to "undo" the contact cement and try again?

Yes, pull it up. Carefully so as not to tear canvass.

Well I tried in a few spots and it's a no-go, the canvas is starting to tear. Any way to soften the contact cement? Heat? Mineral spirits? Any thoughts would be great.
