So I tired driving my 68 bug to work the other day and I noticed a bump/ knocking noise coming from what appears to be the passenger side of my front end, I took the drums off and replaced both the inner and outer wheel bearings and races on both sides and also replaced the seals, I thought this would correct my problem however it did not, any other suggestions as to what might be causing this problem?????

Last time I heard a noise like that (sounded like front right) my right rear drum stripped out. Check out all the moving components out front: torsion arm, ball joints, etc, make sure the roll bar isnt lose. If everything seems correct up front I would check the rear drums to see if the nut is lose, or if you have metal shavings, I would even pull the drum and inspect it.

First thing I would check with that type of noise is the shock. In many cases the rubber grommet rots out, then the eye of the shock is hitting the mounting bolt. Sometimes you have to pull it to see it, but that's my bet.
