|
|
Can you please share contact for some proven shipping companies that can get my bus from East Coast to anywhere Europe?
Anyone has done this before? What are the caveats with bureaucracy? Any problems driving U.S. plated cars in Europe?

quick question: do I even need a title for international shipping if my bus is registered in non-title state like Vermont? Tomorrow is Monday and I will try to call up some shipping companies to ask about this, but I just wanted to ask if someone has experience with this. _________________ Hi! I think the problem with having no title will be getting it out of the US. I am always wary of buying buses with no title because of that. _________________ Blah..... |

You are looking at $900 from Newark to Bremerhaven (recent quote from Shumacher transport). I would think that if you had a registration and insurance that would be fine to get in to the EU provided you were claiming to be a tourist. The legality of your bus in terms of safety standards is a whole different story.....Good luck, Europe is overcrowded I don't know where you plan to park it (at least in cities). _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

I get I need some paperwork to get it out of country. What I was wondering about is if registration is enough for cars registered in states that don't issue title for old cars, i.e. Vermont.

Thanks a lot!! Is that Roll On - Roll Off or Container? I plan on camping for the most part, other than that I guess I will have to pay for it. Or park outside of the city and use the public transit system. _________________ Hi! I am Peter from Czech Republic...

Ok I get you. What Manfred said I would think regarding registration. You would have to look into additional insurance though probably and perhaps other stuff depending on the length of your trip / which country etc. _________________ Blah..... |

http://www.shippingmycar.com/ in Linden, NJ.
I had a great experience with them, and a friend of mine regularly ships to Germany through them.
I'd discuss your paperwork situation, they will let you know what you need. If the car is registered in a Non Title US State I assume it will be ok. You might need a bill of sale.
Hope this helps. _________________ 1957 Beetle

That is RO/RO price, shared container is only a bit more. It will cost you more to get over there than the Bus. I just spent 6 months in Europe, things are changing very fast and tolerance for outlaw camping is low ("homelessness" is illegal in Hungary). _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |
