im not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i was seeing if i can meet other vw bug guys that are constantly working on their beetle so i can help them and learn more to expand my knowledge. if they can help me with mine it would be a plus but if not i dont care i just want the knowledge and lend a hand. you dont have to pay me non of that nonsense. i live in los angeles, Downey, ca exactly. sorry if this sounds stupid to anyone. i just think it would be cool to have helping hands and not feel alone in your quest to have a nice bug.

No it does not sound stupid in fact a willingness to learn and network with other VW people is refreshing. Too many of the people that post here are looking for easy answers, they won't even use the search button to look for subject matter that's been hashed to death. You will do well.

Agreed, my club has tech sessions once a month where a lot of us get together and work on our cars. Even if I don't have any work that needs to be done it's fun to watch and help out.

Hello. I've been working on a 74 vert that I'm converting to electric for 4 months and have replaced everything from the ground up to putting the body back on. I bought the car down by San Diego as a basket case (lesson learned there). It's like trying to put together a 1000 piece puzzle with out most of the pieces.

I'd be glad to help if I can, but I'm sure there are plenty of clubs around your area. I live in Utah, and none here where I am. Good luck!!

Check out Oil Drippers, they meet off of imperial and Norwalk at the Wendy's. But there are a lot of clubs within a 20 mile radius.

Ahh - from "The Magnificent Seven": one does not want the guy with the scars, you want the guy who gave him those scars !

Hi. You may want to check out:

Drivers Wanted VW Club. They meet sat eves at the In n Out Burgers, in the Porter Ranch area of north SFV.

Der Stadt Rosen VW Club. They meet fri eves at the Tommies on Hill St in Pasadena.

Both are on the internet and I have been at both locations and are a bunch of good folks.

Any one have any info on a club called DSSK down in the South Bay area, like Torrance, Calif?

Bill
