I have a 1970 early bay. It's a lhd bus, I need to know the door lock mechanism part number. It doesn't have the pull up knob like some of the later models

Any help would be greatly received

Thanks

Claire

Do you need the door handle with nub, or the actual locking mechanism? The part your hand touches is like a "mechanical remote" for the actual locking mechanism, which is in the far rear of the door. Which do you need? (Both are on the sheet posted above.)

211 837 015G is what it sounds like he needs to me. Google finds a few, here's one in the UK no less: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/classic-volkswagen-baywi...0686363497 But one lousy pic doesn't tell me if all the springs are broken or the notch in the slider is worn.

BTW it's found on 69-73 models.
