Is that 45mm or 50mm? (the burned bearing flange)
Early 901 is 45 mm. 914 is 50mm.

Thx for your replay Ray.

it's 45mm.
But the bearing was a LM603049, Id45.24mm, may be the problem was here ?

I dont find any bearing that match Id50mm with the OD of 77.79mm of the LM603049 ...
What are the real size of the bearing for the early 901 diff ?

Thx
Pat

I have none of it in my hand, but early 901 is 45mm, while 914 (and late 901) are 50mm. So no, the 914 diff won't fit your early 901. Something sounds odd with that bearing ID size ..

This si what I thought ...
Yep something is wrong but the od in the side plate is 77,80mm.
And the only bearing available here in Europe with 77,79od is 45,24id ...
