Replacing the gaskets and stock 6mm oil pump. Upon removal, I noticed an O-ring around the section that goes into the case. The new pump (Brazilian)did not come with such an O-ring. Is it supposed to be used? Transfer it? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks

People sometimes cut a groove and add an oring. Berg adds it too their pumps. If it has a loose fit the oring helps seal. Pain to put in.

No groove cut into the pump - just slid over - it's green, almost looks like a rubber band. Won't be putting it on the new pump. Thanks for replying.
