I agree with the dog.The car is exactly what I was looking for when I got my 64.It's a perfect candidate for restoration,the new owner can decide what it will be.You will lose money big time if you paint it then sell.

Ghia's are frequently personalized and customized. IF it's for resale, people often want low rust and to repaint in the color of their choice... Unless they like patina.

I'd say leave it as is if it's for resale.

Spot on. I don't want a patina car, but I don't trust the previous owner to have put the loving care I to restoration that I would. Nor would I necessary want the original or some other arbitrary color. (Or maybe original is the ONLY color I want.) So, just let me do it myself.

Well I hope the original poster returns soon to say "Thank you" to all of you who have posted advice on this matter...73% saying leave it as it is.

Maybe he's too embarrassed to return after his wife sent it to be resprayed.

I have purchased a 1973 Ghia Coup. I am restoring it with a few modification. Most were done before i recieved the car. The big quetion is does anyone know what colour is Nicolas Wlostowski’s 1973 Karmann Ghia show car. It a green. Would like the help on this one. And Thanks
