|
|
I couldn't find this anywhere else on the forums, please correct me and link if you know of a place, but...
Anyone know what years two tone paint was available from the factory?
Just got me a shell of a '69 Beetle and trying to decide what we're going to do with it. It is stripped down and the body work is awesome, so paint is on the list before anything else and before any more monsoons in AZ. Seems sort of backwards, but I totally don't want to re-strip it later and there isn't much rust to get off now!
Thanks for any help! |

Others can correct me, but I don't believe there ever was a two-tone option available from the factory. Haven't researched it, but that's what I recall reading in the past. |

Thanks, vwsonmybrain. Wow. There are a lot of two tone Beetles around and I just assumed that was an option, but it makes sense since they weren't really intended to be show cars |

What about early convertibles from Karmann? I've seen early pics of two tone convertibles and they seemed stock. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society
