Hello/question about "one day" rule to pm a member

Hey. My name's bob, username Shaydetree. I joined the other day & tried to pm a member. I found out that new members must wait one day before a pm can be sent. A reasonable requirement - thing is, its been well over 24 hours & I still receive the same "one day" notice. Is there also a minimum post count that must be reached? Thanx in advance for any light shed on this for me.

Yes, it has to be over 24 hours exactly.

This is sort of confusing if you don't know the exact time you joined.

If someone is wondering why we have this rule:
Unfortunately we have had spammers / scammers join the site and immediately begin sending PMs to members.

This rule was put in place to prevent them from doing that.
