54 oval Id code help

Just purchased a 54 oval here in Australia ID tag has 1-0597374 and the letters MKA2686 stamped above from what I can tell its Jan 54 but what is the other stamping mean.
The pan was not with the can but a 68 instead can't have it all !!

MKA stands for Martin and King Australia Pty Ltd. This company in Clayton Victoria assembled early Volkswagens in what is known as CKD (complete knock down) kits and then stamped their own number on the body.

Your chassis number is February 1954.

I have an October 1954 Chassis 1-0725526 and MKA 2815

Mine is Clayton Green with a Brown interior.
