Just scored these original mud flaps for my squareback. Does anyone have any instructions as to how they should be installed? Since they are original want to make sure I do it right.

Thanks.

You are missing some pieces if that's all you have

I took mine off - I'm missing one little piece that pinches against the body. If I can come up with an acceptable substitute, I'll put them back on and post some pictures. There are some screws that go through the body as well

I thought I might have been missing something. I might try to fabricate something and I'll post it when I do.

here's whats missing:

the long bracket and the "washer" for lack of a better word, both have teeth. These pinch the body when tightened up

I may have extra long brackets.

I am missing one of these. I am contemplating cutting one of my brackets in order to make one

Thanks, Erik. It looks like I'm missing the long bracket bar. That's an easy fix. I'll rig up something and send pics when complete.

Here is how I installed the flaps. The toothed connector was used to sandwich the rear fender lining on one side and screws were used on the underside of the fender ojn the other side. I did not need the extra bar strap.
