Hi guys quick question. On my 79 super beetle I had an issue with stalling at stop signs and such.. Replaced some evap line by the tank and found one disconnected (way in the back on the drivers side) once I replaced it it hasn't done it again.. Coincidence? It's not fuel injected if that helps.

J

Without seeing the hose, and the connection, it sounds like the unconnected hose was causing an air leak to the engine. Good job on the find Very Happy. Hopefully it is the permanent solution.

Not sure what that line would have to do with anything related to idling. That hose you reconnected is just one of the vent hoses for the gas tank. There are 3 of them on that tank. There are 2 vent tubes/nipples in the rear corner of the tank on the drivers side, and 1 in the left front(passenger side) corner. If anything you should have smelled gas when the tank was full from it leaking out of that tube/nipple.
