Hey All, I am looking for the piece the tubes attach to in the trunk. The "duct box" that attaches to the windshield vents on driver side of a 70 bug. Does anyone know what the part is called and where to buy. None of the manuals show it. _________________ 1970 Standard Beetle.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly. is 113-819-071 (air vent) the part you need? If so, VW classic parts in Germany (http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/kaefer/) has them NOS, but I don't know for how long since most fresh air system parts are now no longer available new.
edit: otherwise, you can try the classifieds here. _________________ cars:

Is what you're talking about the plastic piece that the 2 paper hoses are attached to? If so, you'll have to find them used in a junkyard or in the classifieds.

Yes that is the piece but also may need the vent that attaches too. I have it gorilla taped right now. Luckily I am in AZ so really may not "need" it. But these parts around window venting are crumbling apart. I will have to check the junk yards first i guess and then the German parts place. their pricing is confusing. Is The comma supposed to represent a period? In other words 17,43 EU is 17.43 EURO? _________________ 1970 Standard Beetle.

Actually when I look at the German site it doesn't seem to have these parts only for the newer vehicles like Scirroco etc. _________________ 1970 Standard Beetle.

For some reason Europeans like to use a comma to denote a decimal number. The 'EU' (European Union) money is the Euro - at the current exchange rate of 1 Euro equals $1.101 according to one website. This changes daily. _________________ 71 Ghia Coupe - stock body - no rust! Powered by a 2110 W/Dual HPMX 44's - Rancho Pro Street Transaxle - A/C by Gilmore
