I'll tell you one thing when I had the engine in pieces I was way out of my comfort zone but with the help of other people's posts, questions, replies, YouTube, books, people at vw shows and tackling on it yourself makes you feel accomplished like you brought something back to life. I wanted to pull my hair out because I thought I couldn't put it back together then if have to sell it I couldn't afford a mechanic we had a toddler and a baby on the way. My wife wouldn't let me sell it. I worked my full time job, full time dad, full time husband and spending time with family gatherings prolonged it but after a year that first start and fixing little issues like exhaust leak, oil leak timing etc. This car has never let me down and its hard to let it go now. I'm a happy VW driver. _________________ '71 VW Bay Window Deluxe Bus [Busness] sold

bobnotch, tram, mike fisher, blankmange and russ. I know i'm missing some others but you guys is what keep us liking these old machines. ethnicity has nothing to do with it but i'm mexican and I love driving my german machine. I think more people should be proud of what they drive but hey that's my opinion. _________________ '71 VW Bay Window Deluxe Bus [Busness] sold
