I got these heads years ago from a Samba member. I dug these up yesterday as I was looking for some parts.

I think these are Tims Stage 2 heads but cannot be really sure. Can anyone identify these?

The only marking I could find is this very small number, it reads 108 08

They could be Tims heads. They are the good Mexican 043 castings

Looking at the shape of the ported intakes, I thought they were Stage 2 heads.

If the valves are 42x37, then they are stage 1 plus. See their ad.....

Either way, you have one of the better ported 40x35s and castings.

Out of interest, how could you tell they are Stage 1+, and not stage 2 heads?

Why are you asking jfats? The man who ported it already told you what it was....

You are totally misinterpreting a simple post. And yes the actual head porter came on and claimed they are his heads. You should have believed him. I cant tell they are stage 1s or stage 1 plus heads cause you didn't post a pic of the valves. But YOU can easily measure it. That's how you know the difference.
Read the ad brother.

old stage 2, weren't welded I'm sure they're stage 2 Steve Wink I'm pretty sure they don't have round ex ports but "square" ports.
