No problem at all!

Just a small and maybe interesting fact: a genuin french 181 had an extra support for mounting a 3-point seatbelt. Handy to know if you spot a 181 with a french license plate. Wink

I get to pick up my thing sometime this week for the first time. Being it is off roaded and not original Im thinking seriously about blanking tthe original tail lights off and cutting in some bus tail lights like the French models. That might be a good mounting point for an Off road / CB antenna though I dont think Im going to be adding thinmg that substantial. Thanks for the help.

I was going to have one fabricated but it turned out to be more cost effective to buy one from Maik Potter, even with shipping from Germany:

I found the Telefunken antenna on eBay, from a seller in Poland.

As a metal fabricator by trade that is one stout antenna mount. Id expect to see that mounted to a building with a giant antenna attached. Great find by the way...

That is not uncommon for military antenna mounts which may be made for more than one vehicle and more than one antenna-type, to simplify number of parts and cut costs through volume production.

I've seen those antennas get the heck knocked out of them when in the field at Hohenfels Training Area. That mount needs to be strong enough and spread the load enough with a 3-4 meter antenna moving around up top.

The Humvee antennas I worked on had similar mounts but were a lighter metal. They got banged up all the time.
