We will be doing our pre registration Friday (payday). Bringing our 79 super vert.

We're only planning to come for Sunday. Going to Bulli Saturday Smile

So if I'm reading correctly the valve cover racing is on Saturday only. Is that correct? I would really like to do it with my kids..... but we will only be at bug jam on Sunday.

They said you can use anything.....

From the rules,
"Although we will let any brand valve cover race you should make yours out of a VW VALVE COVER or take the chance of being made fun of and not treated fairly"

So if you can take the heat Laughing

Still waiting for conformation on Saturday or Sunday though. I don't want to build these and not be able to race them.

I'm still trying to get an answer on the valve cover racing thing. Anyone got another number for him, or for whoever might know the official schedule?

Oh shit! Valve cover racing! I dont have a VW valve cover either! I am restoring 3 Ferarri's at work right now. Would I get special treatment if I steal one from those to build a racer?!

This is awesome!! VW of New Port Richey has FREE TICKETS!!! (including parking) You can go by tomorrow and get a pair.

All you have to do is go by there and say hi. Bring your VW and take a pic!

The Buchan folks are in meetings.

Based on the valve cover flyer I see racing is both days. I can't see them tearing down Sunday.

I imagine you can run the track whenever you want.

I just came across this pic and thought I'd share it here since the theme this year is Star Wars Very Happy

It's from the filming of "Return of the Jedi" (well probably still titled "Revenge of the Jedi" at the time this pic was taken). It's behind the scenes of Jabba's Barge. I Think I can Make out 4 VW Sand Rails (the fourth might be a Pan Buggy though, it's hard to make out) in the picture Cool
