Hi all,
We picked these up tonight, under the pretense that they were barndoor parts...
The mirror & oil guage were a package deal. I doubt that they've ever seen life on a VW, but perhaps I'm wrong?
I thought that the speedo' was for a barndoor, but having done some research, I'm now thinking split bug?
Dated 8/51.
Any info' would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Unfortunately non of the parts are Barndoor specific.
The oil gauge is a typical VDO (aftermarket) gauge of the late 50s/early 60s. could have been used in a Mercedes or else. The mirror is an outside clamp on, typical style of the period. The speedo is 80mph, hence a split bug Brezel unit. All of them are quite period correct and could be used on your Barndoor.
if you have more than the 25 stock hp, the oil gauge and 80mph speedo make good sence. I doubt that you can use the clamp-on base of the mirror on the BD side glass frame. maybe use it on the front rain gutter corner. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

Darn. :/ Thanks Jack.
I'll put them up for a trade. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.
