New westfalia owner here!!

Does anyone know what is involved to fix this? Came apart on the highway - fun times!!

We are happy and willing to help and advise, but we need more details. Automatic or manual, and which part do you consider the elbow? A photo goes a long way.

Your shifting must have been pretty sloppy for that to happen. I don’t know anything about the nose shifter but it looks like half the piece broke off and is laying somewhere on the road. I can tell you though that there is an early van at a junkyard in Albuquerque that probably has that piece on it:

I think that part hanging down from the trans is supposed to have 2 balls on it and one has fallen off. The socket it fits into you can see here:

In any case it looks like you are stuck with rounding up the parts.

So I wrestled the 3 parts back together and everything is fine.

But man the shifting is scary loose. It's almost like the gear is in a different spot everytime i shift!!

(Not saying it wasn't like this before...)
