Will do but Its looking like a lot of this stuff will be gone before it reaches the classifieds with all the enquiries I'm getting.
Any info on these would be greatly appreciated. Are they date stamped anywhere?
Thanks again for all the info so far guys. You've been a huge help.
Cheers,
Pip.

The start motors do have date stamps.
It will be a number followed by a letter.
This one below is 12F.

Very cool to see these parts all in one post and all in nice detail. Your Lotus loving friend obviously knew what he was doing.
Yeah, let's see some pictures of the 5 cars, don't be shy! We can catch just a glimpse of a bumper in one of the photos.. |
That bumper you're referring to is on the '49 that's 4-sale

Ha! yes that's one of mine although it wasn't part of the trade. unfortunately nothing super early in the car stash but I ended up with some nice cars all the same:
'65 doublecab
'66 vert (53k og miles!)
'64 Ghia (og black on red)
2 Things.
it looks like I have my builds planned out for the next few years hence the reason I've put the '49 up for sale. space is very scarce around here lately! _________________ DBK!

Ok I have a couple more peices here that I'm about to post in the classifieds and would really appreciate help with identification and perhaps idea of fair values.
I have a couple of what I believe to be split era tool pouches in 2 different materials although I'm not certain of the material names. I couldn't find any of these in the classifieds to get an idea of values.
I also have this (incorrectly?) chromed air filter that I'm not sure which years it would be correct for. Again, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Pip.

Generally you will see fabric used for tool pouches that was available on the seats at that same time. I think there is some overlap however. I suspect they used scraps leftover from putting together seat covers to make the tool pouches as there is no consistent style of fabric used for them. They won't necessarily match the upholstery that is in your car.
My mom's '65 had a tool pouch just like your striped one.
That was a pattern that was available that year.
The other one looks like some of the upholstery that was used during '56 -'57. Here is an example.

Looks like a 56 interior (dark piping). All 57 ovals I have studied so far, got white/tan piping.
Exept this one.
It is a really nice car! |
