Thinking of building a 2332 cc dual port or something a little smaller, unsure of horsepower, so how much does one put out? Going to be running dual carbs but not sure what to get. Also will a type 3 irs with 4.12 gears hold up to this simply as a daily driver? Going to be running 31 inch tires front and back. What kind of striker kit, or Carburetors should I get? I have quite a few questions so any help is much appreciated.

For a bug, bus, t3, ghia, thing or other?

4.12 with 31's may be interesting, you could go dangerously fast in that. I have a 002 with a r&p of 5.375 with a 2110cc and I can turn my 31's pretty well. In 4th I'm at 80 mph @ 4k rpm. That's in a single cab too.

What kit? How much do you know about strokers?

Sorry, it's a bug
But I was looking, and scat sells a kit to make one a striker motor. I know you'd have to have to case and heads bored to make it work. Is scat a good brand? Only been involved with vws for a few months so still kind of a newbie

Scat rods and forged cranks are great quality. Dependant on who does the scat heads now, depends on the porter. If you are keen on a scat kit, read the scat engine kits topics using search.

Have someone who know what they're doing build it for you. Well worth it rather than buying an expensive kit and something going wrong on your hands.

Baja bug?
