|
|
Yesterday when trying to repair my horn and ignition switch, the turn signal assembly disintegrated in my hands.
The cloudy semi-clear ring basically broke into a few pieces...which explains why the turn signal never worked well to begin with.
Anyway, I'm trying to source another one and not having any luck. Also, I don't have it with me so I don't know what the back is stamped with and from what I've read, it's either marked as "circle K" or "SWF".
I'm not sure what I've got or if by knowing the year of the car, you might know.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you! |

Dagger, I'm pretty sure this is what you need:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-BUG-GHIA-TYPE-3-TURN-SI...mp;vxp=mtr
Even is the 311 part number. If your wiring looks like this it should work. Later ones will have a flat plastic curved sheath for the wiring. Hope this helps! _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Ah, okay. Yes, that does look like mine. I had seen this one on Ebay but was second guessing myself because the schematic at the bottom of the page says that it's not compatible with a 1970 type 3.
Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it! |

Right- it doesn't mention the Type 3, but it is definitely a Type 3 part number! If I recall, Beetle/ Ghia/ T3 were identical. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

If it's any help the parts book shows p/n 311 953 513 C as the part for chassis numbers 310 2000 001 to 310 2500 000.
311 953 513 B (the supposed p/n of the eBay one) is listed in the parts book as for chassis numbers 318 000 001 to 319 500 000 which would make it a '68-'69 part. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

It's just odd because this one looks identical (they both refer to the same 311 part number) and the seller said its not compatible: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171781519885?euid=279a18d3...xe,ext=ext
I bought the other one (the one you sent a link to). There's a return policy so if it doesn't work at least I can return it! |
