Don't forget the last show of the season for New Jersey. CJVWS handles the air cooled portion of this show. We always get a good turn out of show cars and swap vendors.
I hope to see all the local VW folks there. Central Jersey Volkswagen Society thanks you again for your support of our event!!!

The VW Heritage Series will be there racing with our 2 fast VW classes!
Just like the old days we will be running a class called I/Gas. This is a 1/8 mile bracket class for the faster cars on the east coast. We will also be racing heads, 1/8 mile to see who is the QUICKEST VW on the east coast....right here at Raceway Park. We will have a nitrous car, hopefully a pro stock bug and a whole bunch of turbo cars. Plus we will allow the water cooled cars to race with us so we should have a very nice mix of fast VWs that day.
Want to try racing? Sign up for trophy bracket. Any E.T. Any VW or audi powered car and you just need a helmet. Don't have one? Rent it from the gift shop! Lets keep this event alive and strong so bring out your show car, racer or stuff to sell |

I think they let you anything run. You just need required clothing and helmet. _________________ Central Jersey Volkswagen Society - President |

1600? You can run it! You can run ANY vw or audi.
Here is the wonderful thing...for just $5....JUST $5 more then a general admission ticket you can race!
Here is how easy it is. When you pull up to the gate, just tell the people you need one RACER ticket for TROPHY class. Hand over $25 and you get a long skinny tech card. Fill this out, head over to tech inspection (this event in lanes 1 and 2 in the staging lanes). All you will need for that 1600 is a helmet (motor cycle or dirt bike helmet will work), a working seat belt, pants and a tee shirt.
If you need help with anything...let me know. I will be there and can help you with questions, advice and make your rookie experience very easy. I can even help you on track, show you where/how to stage the car, advice and when/where to slow down and exit the track. This goes for anyone who wants to try racing.
Oh, a way to save yourself $4. At the front gate the lady MAY ask if you have a Raceway Park permanent race number. Say yes. Even if you don't. At tech inspection they will give you a number to use for the day..free. |

I see on the website there is a $20 admission fee. Is that for admission to the races, or would I need to pay that for entry into the swap area (to buy, not as a vendor)? I was going to bring my wife along, but don't think it's worth an extra $20. _________________ - 1977 CEI Sunroof Bus 2.0L F.I. Hydraulic Lifters

It's $20 to get in per person...and I believe Raceway Park sets the admission price. Most race tracks do.
Looking forward to the swap meet action !
Get there early if you want a good spot. This one usually fills up to the max.

$20 per person for the races, show and the swap. $25 to exhibit your car (no trophy), and $30 to show.

As Jeff stated, the venue sets the price... not the club.
Last show of the year, so get the parts your winter projects. _________________ Glenn

This was the best e-town yet! Had a great time this year. Was fortunate to do well in the show, and took up the opportunity to put the bus on the track. For those who take their racing seriously - don't watch. I just wanted the photo-op and to experience the track. I never expected to do well. This was my first time ever on a track, so to the guy who was behind me - Sorry! I know I looked like a fool.
As for my and Sarah (the square back after me) here are our times:
Mike - 1977 Westfalia
R/T: .683
60': 3.453
330: 10.142
1/8: 15.784
MPH: 43.52
1000: 20.663
ET: 24.954
MPH: 51.75
Sarah - 1971 Type 3 Squareback
R/T: .773
60': 3.336
330: 10.016
1/8: 15.721
MPH: 42.50
1000: 20.906
ET: 25.333
MPH: 50.91
What a blast though. I have wanted to run the strip for years and finally I found someone with the balls to do it! Oddly, she has no balls at all. What a great year. To add the icing to the cake, I took home a 1st place and Sarah took 3rd.

I guess that was you in the beautiful green Westy? I didn't see any of the races, but we saw you lined up waiting to get on the track. My friend and I were wondering 'who the hell would race a Bus.' Now we know. Sounds like fun. _________________ - 1977 CEI Sunroof Bus 2.0L F.I. Hydraulic Lifters
