|
|
Hi all!
My fathers car is almost ready, brand new paint and new interior made by Marcus in Germany. Very nice interior!
He now more or less only need the attachment wire or whatever it is called for the outer scraper for the door windows, year model 1951. We looked "everywhere" but cant find it. Have anyone seen where to buy these?
It is the wire part in this picture. Thanks!

don't bother with the wire, they are a total pain to get in. If you still have your old outer scrapers you can use the clips from that for the inner. They will go in much easier and make your life much more relaxing. _________________ 1954 L227 Type 113

The name of this type of wire attachment is a 'Martin Clip'. I don't have any trouble remembering, as it's the same as my name!
As for being difficult to fit, nothing could be further from the truth, providing you have the correct profile rubber, which is the same profile as those used on the early engine and boot (trunk) seals, and Kubel doors etc. |

ignore me... i was thinking you meant innerscraper... and I was talking about using the individual clips from the outer scraper rather than the wire for the inner... now I am confusing myself... arrgghh.. _________________ 1954 L227 Type 113

Don't order from Wolfsburg West. The rubber is way too thick and impossible to install. It went in the garbage. Kaefer Nostalgie has a perfect replica, easy to install. _________________ Charlie

I can't say yet, I have to make system which provide the correct pitch of clips, otherwise impossible to assemble. _________________ Mika

This is the biggest problem with the aftermarket ones you get today. The pitch is off a small amount, and they simply don't work. The same problem exists with the shorter one for later cars with vent windows. _________________
