I've done that before many times but just beside to remove the valve stem core and replace it immediately. If you don't take it out there is a really good chance that you won't have a valve stem left on the rim...

Moto that a great idea for the spare... Where did you get the puck for the top of the jack? That's pretty cool.

I think i'd rather just carry a spare than to have to lug around two cinder blocks.

it's a solid block of aluminium I stole from work, and made the grooves on the hydraulic press
