Hi guys!
My Mexican Beetle is getting worse and worse. When I bought it, it had trouble starting if it would sit more than one day. It would crank, but nothing. Now the problem got worse. If I leave the engine off for an hour, it doesn't start.
If i spray starting fluid in intake, it "starts". But only till the starting fluid is gone. It need at least 2 minutes of cranking and swearing till it starts. And then it runs well, it revs, it's not sluggish ...
What can it be? I changed the fuel filter and nothing improved.

Fuel pump.
What is your fuel pressure?

I can't measure the fuel pressure.
I will take the pump apart next week and try to clean it, hope it will work. |

I changed the fuel pump and things got better, thank you!
Still doesn't always start at the first try, but the second one is always good. I think I'm gonna change the whole fuel line just to make sure is new and nothing wrong with it. |

Also change the gas filter underneath the car.
