Installing a new set of door panels, clips and rubber clip seals. It seems very difficult to get the new clips to go into the new receptacles. Anybody got any tips on getting those installed without damage or breakage? I know they install easily without the rubber cups but it isn't correct....steve

#1 you have to carefully line each one up so they go in straight, a little crooked and they are much harder to get in and may even push the seal into the door.

#2 your problem could be caused by rubber friction, same reason rubber sole shoes squeak on the courts.
You might try dusting the clip and seal with talcum powder to ease the fitting.
Another method is to use mild soapy water in a spray bottle aimed at the offending clips/seals.

You may be tempted to "hammer" them in with your clinched fist, but I've found it's better to slowly but firmly push them in with the palm of an open hand.

Did you also put a plastic to stop the moisture on the door?

If you have original clips, use them. Aftermarket are tougher to install.
I use needle nose pliers to line up each clip as I push them in.

This ^^^ is the best advice. Take your time and align each clip individually. If you're not laying on the ground to align the clips on the door bottoms- you are not taking enough care to warrant new panels.

Got em done. Talc helped out and yes I did put plastic on the inside. I don't think you could do the bottoms without laying on the ground. Thanx guys.... steve
