Same thing happened to me. We drove all the way home from Montana without realizing it, but an odd bouncing on a dirt road was unexplained until back home I was checking things over for another trip. I checked it a few months later and it was slightly loose - lower shock mount right side. So now I check it out of habit. _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1988 Toyota Supra 5 speed targa, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |

Yea it's sort of odd, I did a check of all my cv bolts a few weeks ago and checked both my lower shock bolts just because I was down there.. but somehow the top one came loose. I didn't think to check those.
I've put a ton of miles on the van since I rebuilt it, so I guess it's time to run through and check all those odd ball nuts and bolts. _________________ 86 Syncro Build - Ecotec Motor Swap - Pop Top Conversion - Camper Build & Syncro Conversion |
