The Belmont ones are not that hard to find. Somebody acquired their stock of metal frames after they went under and advertised them in the VVWCA newsletter in the 1990s (claiming they were from a California dealership).

I can't believe what my Porsche License Plate Frame sold for on eBay.
I found it in a box of VW Beetle part I got when I bought my current 73 Beetle.

Also I do not see this frame in the Santa Fe dealer listing
