http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4............. 5x9mm. With enough research and numerous thread post you can find exact information. Just wished people would state facts and not guess.......just to post something. AND........just use ONE red fiber sealing washer over screen sock.......do not use any washer inside nut. |

FWIW I used 2 washers; one between sock and nut and one between sock and tank and it seals just fine.
I believe the parts list only shows 1 washer used, while Bently shows 2. _________________ WANTED:

. It's not a 5x9mm as shown in parts book........three times to small? Called WW for size.....they said I would have to measure one. So guess I will order some and measure them. Sorry folks.....will report back with correct size. |

I don't see 5x9 in that thread.
I checked out that thread and the parts book photos in there and 5x9 are the washers for the 5 screws holding the fuel tank sender in place.
The fuel sock washer size is not mentioned in the parts book
The ones I have from WW are:
12mm - inner diameter
16mm - outer diameter _________________ How to Post Photos
