Hey guys ,
New to forum and I inherited a strange VW engine from my uncle who passed away a month ago. He told me when he gave it to me they used it on his farm to spread seed in 50's and 60's in North Dakota, It;s not running and has been in storage for over 50 years. The serial number is 26-026927 I have pictures attached. Is this thing worth any money?

Thank you for any help

Engine # 126-026927

The 126 prefix is an industrial engine number.

To the best of my knowledge that is a 1500cc engine from 1968 or later.
This is a guess based on the list here:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/industrialdating.php

Your engine # is after the end of that list in 9/1967.

It is not worth any more than any other 1500cc engine, in my opinion.
