code is D0201. I do not find this on any VW transaxle chart. Could the code be some where other than the side. I know this is a worn out subject, but I need to know.

Picture of where you are finding this code on transaxle would help.

the number should be 6 or 7 numbers usually starting with two maybe one letter. It's on the underside kinda on the 'corner' of the housing. usually it grabs a lot of grease because the CV is right there and you have to scrape it off to see the numbers
