Sponsored by Gerber and Grey Goose....nice.

Have too much Grey Goose and then you'll need the Gerber 9 months later... But what else would you expect coming from someone who would actually ride in it?

Yes, this is a JDM right hand drive version. The LHD version moves the wraparound glass to the other side. Must have cost a fortune to produce stampings for both versions.

I've seen quite a few myself, both here in OK and in NYC. They may not be everyone's cup o tea, but they certainly look better than the Versa, and light years better than any Scion.

I saw one of these ugly bastards on the interstate here in VA on thursday evening... but it had the wrap around glass on the left(as pictured) but was a LHD...

The Japanese have been stealing ideas and improving them. How else would they get 295+ hp out of the same engine that is in a vanagon?

I seen one of those in person the other day, and yeah, ..they are indeed, that gaudy! The person driving it acted like they must have been too embarrassed to be seen in it because they were flying up the highway like no ones business.

Same experience- wasn't on I-85 South just below Atlanta was it?

That "Cube" looks like someone dropped a big screen on top on an old Altima (coming from someone who drives a Thing!)

I agree that Toyota and Komatsu improved the Chevy straight-six and Cummins engines, but the Subaru Boxer engine is not, I repeat, is not based on a VW design. It was derived from the 1950s Goliath Hansa flat-four, which was made by the Borgward company of Germany. It's said that a 1970s Subaru flat-four is almost completely interchangeable with a Goliath Hansa engine, parts-wise. The Subaru FF-1 itself (their first conventional car) was also heavily based on the Goliath Hansa design IIRC, particularly in the chassis and suspension.

Now back to regular programming... Smile

I wonder if the Aztec is actually a well made car. Sure, they're ugly as sin, but will there be some weird "in" phase in 10 years where all the survivors become cool? I mean it seems like the type II was hated on for years before they became the Barrett-Jackson type car today.

Imagine: "and next up, lot 56...."
