Manxter fire extinguisher mount

I decided to go with the soft mount, and I'm happy with the decision. The velcro is really strong, and the mount holds the unit firmly in place. The extinguisher is the small 1 lb. Halguard unit. It can be easily reached from outside the buggy, but it's out of the way and doesn't rattle around while driving.

I've needed one and not had one on a buggy that the fuel inlet pulled out of a solex carb. An extinguisher for have turned 5 minutes of throwing sand and hollering into no big deal. I always carry one now.

Get you a good one. I use AKE a tiny extinguisher will do more than a 10# conventional type.

The mount is very sturdy, and I set it up so the bottom is really resting on the floor pan. I did put a bit of self-stick SUP deck mat on the handle side of the extinguisher to keep it from marring the gel coat if it gets kicked or vibrates around. I had to trim the velcro, which is set up for a wide variety of roll bar diameters.
