What is the widest rim I can use under my 67 VW beetle rear fenders? |

I "think" deep 7s will fit. _________________ Glenn

Are you using wheel adapters or drilled drums/discs?
Some adapters acts like spacers. Some are up to an inch thick. This will obviously effect your wheel width fitting under the fenders, assuming your using OEM size fenders and not some aftermarket/custom widened fender _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

What both of them said. If you're using drums or discs (without adapters or spacers) then you can fit a 7" Fuch under the fenders. You have to remember though that there are different offsets for 6'', 7'', and 8'' fuchs. Also you can get original fuchs in 14'', 15, and 16''. If you're going for that classic old school look, then a 15''x7'' is pretty fat in the rear. More importantly is the tire size and I believe the largest tire you can fit is a 215 but I wouldn't go above a 205.
Keith Goss' Chop top had original '73 RSR 7'' fuchs on the rear and it looked perfect if you ask me.
