I changed the title. I could already tell it was going to lead in a direction other than what this is a topic of.

They could at least mention the 84 fiero, blazer s10, ford exloder, and the pinto. But the VW? c'mon! those dont catch fire, not at all. Rolling Eyes

Title should say "when you don't feel like using hose clamps or checking your connections ever"

Filter in the engine bay doesn't automatically mean fire.

I have a filter before each carb. and one at the frame horn. zero carb issues.

seems like its a pressurized plastic tube with a flame retardant powder and a non-flammable dispersant that probably has a set temp point at which the plastic will melt and allow it to do its job. Id like to see one in action.
