I'm looking for the little red lens that covers the light socket for the dash mounted brake warning light. Does anyone sell these? I've tried many places with no success. |

BusDaddy is this the correct one for a 76 Westy? _________________ 74 Thing 1600DP

you can find them on ebay Germany from time to time. A new one is typically around $50 - $75 USD. Otherwise use red nail polish on the inside of the old one to tint it. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

I would opt for the sideways B at $6 myself.
I've purchased a few of these from the thing shop and have a few in stock. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

What prevents them from being installed clocked correctly?

Plastic tabs on the lens that hold it in place _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Depends on the clock, Robbie:
If it were my car, I would be grinding the slots and gluing the "B" lens in to view correctly oriented.
ps
Red fingernail polish needs to be painted on the inside surface including the walls and the edges of the lens or it will "fiber-optic" clear light. I used GumOut to thin the viscosity down to easily paintable:

Thank you BusDaddy found the brake warning light from your link.
Colin if the lens is faded I'll try your trick to restore the red.
