Hello, now i have the Ignitor 2843N6, but it wont fit. When i build it in, the vaccum system cant work, because the ignitor ground plate blocked it. Has someone a ignitor in this bosch distri. it is a 6 Volt system...

Question

Hello Marcus, you're going to have to explain yourself a bit more clearly. I am a distributor rebuilder and have lots of cores of the above distributor but I do not understand what you mean by ignitor or vacuum gate.

Shure, i have bought a Ignitor system part number 2843N6 who should replace the points. But it doesent fit to the distributor, when installed, the set blocks the adjustment of timing by vacuum...

Sounds like when the Pertronix is mounted it locks the upper plate to the lower so the vacuum advance won't more the points.

I think "technically" there is no Pertronix that fits the VJU4BR8.

Thanks for clarifying and yes, my understanding is that Glenn is right.

Hi Glenn, that is what i think too, it wont fit out of the box. The upper plate cant turn free, because the pertronix cut out for the small thing that holds upper and lower plate togehter ist too small.....i will send pictures maybe than it gets clear what i mean.....

Now it works, with some handwork, and thinking abaut ist, you can fit this ignitor to the VJU4BR 8 distributor.
