I'm after one of these pieces of tin that sit under the fuel pump for my '56
http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=111119567
Can anyone tell me from which year to which year I could buy please to fit my original tin work - in other words would a '62 piece fit for example ?
Thanks in advance for any advice |

Any year of 36hp tin should fit if your car still has the original type of engine. The type with the rib at the bottom of the dished area, as shown in your link, Is what you'll need. The earlier smooth bottom type to is much harder to find and more $$$.
A 1962 piece will not fit. You need a ribbed style 36 horse piece which should be 1956-1960 (maybe 1955 also, not sure) _________________ https://instagram.com/mr.ogpaint

as long as it is 36 HP based it will fit. The base 36 HP was offered in different countries far later than the 1960 discontinuation in the USA market. _________________ Rick

Thanks to you too - this should enable me to widen my search
I would have bought the WW one linked , but $72 postage on a $8 part even in these days of crazy prices is too crazy for me |

Most places in the world a 36horse is referred to as a 30 horse, that may help the search a little more _________________ https://instagram.com/mr.ogpaint

I used the search on this particular part number and found this thread.
Can someone tell the difference between these three fuel plates?
I think the right one is the oldest. |

The center one is the oldest. It is 25hp. _________________ 1947 Typ 11a
