Back when I converted my 64 to 12 volt, I also installed a hard start relay to take the load off of the ignition switch.

I'm looking for how others installed their hard start relays where the wiring/relay is inside the car vs. mounted near the starter (exposed).

So, you have a hard start relay installed - where is the relay? How'd you run the wires? Pictures would be great!

Here is mine on the firewall. Not visible with the air cleaner in place.

Thanks for posting - I would not have thought to mount it here but it seems like a good place - out of sight and not dangling over transmission.

Yes, the firewall is a reasonably dry and clean place too. Maybe a bit hot. No need to modify any of the original wires and the only hole that must be drilled is the one to attach the relay itself.
