I'm not a Volkswagen guy, but I recently acquired a 1967 Activ Snow-Trac which is a Swedish made tracked vehicle. They were produced from the late 50s to the early 80s and came with Volkswagen engines and transmissions.
Mine has a fine running engine, but I'm swapping it out for a Subaru 2.5. The tranny is getting sent to German Transaxle in Oregon for rebuild.
I intend to sell the engine locally but don't know what a fair asking price would be. I thought I'd ask you all for an opinion. I figure $500 would be reasonable, but I may be dead on, or way off. I don't know which.
I'll post a few pics of the engine (which don't really show much) as well as a spec sheet for the machine it came in.
Hoping to hear some high values! But will be satisfied with any good advice. Thanks.

Ok, nevermind. Can't figure out a way to post pics so I guess you'll have to imagine. |
