Hello All,
My Friend in the Police Department was riding through North Nashville, Tn. and found a 1963 Full ragtop setting on the street, just
by luck the women was outside her house. He went up to her and asked if the Bug was for sale and she said "Yes" I need it off the street by next week, because Tennessee laws say you can't have an un-tagged car just setting. This car had been setting since 2009 not driven. He asked me to ask a question on this site, What is it Worth? Its a 1963 "Full ragtop all the way back to the engine compartment, Titty Pink is the color with red interior,
white steering wheel, no rips or tears in the seat, still has the carpet and a white gear shift with the numbers still visible and bright !In Mint Condition! This was shipped after this women's husband served over in Germany in the Army. She only wanted $800.00 for the car. Please let us know what its worth and if we need to call Barrett Jackson? |

Probably worth about a Million dollars. Or maybe $500. But probably somewhere in between those 2 amounts. _________________ Brian

Pre Pigalle Special edition. Like everything else, it got watered down after a couple of years. If IRCC, there was a Va...a Violet edition in 1960.. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

Real Tuscher roll-back roof model.
there were aftermarket ones though
they didn't use coral red in '63, so it's probably a custom color
so I'm guessing full custom sliding rag, pink paint from the 80's
it was all the rage and super sano

Oh how I loved the 80's. Im surprised that any VW made it of the decade alive.
Well, at least it truly turned out to be "Titty Pink" in color, as noted by the quarter window. _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames

For $800.00 I would have bought it and rocked just the way it is, would be a fun car.
Looks solid though so one could argue that the custom treatment in the 80's actually saved it from rotting into the earth in some field somewhere or being crushed for scrap. Worst case, it's a prime candidate for an actual ragtop graft. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

I'd polish the crap out of it, detail it and drive it or sell it and make some $$$. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

Make safe to drive first. Then just drive and answer all the questions you will get when your out and about. It is a one off for sure and 800 bucks a hard to pass up deal. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

I don't think that "Titty Pink" was a factory color.
Seriously, if the car is solid and complete a new roof panel would correct that and then you would have a good car. _________________ Chris
