Just had my first real test. I rub big time if I have a big passenger in the front. Had a 280 pound person in the front seat the other day, and it rubbed bad. I'm gonna find and put stock rim on and see what happens.

Finally changed the tires to the stock rims i got. This fit great without the adaptors i get zero rubbing. the tires tuck in nicely, i wish i had got the 175 tires instead.

Are the front rims 4.5 or 5.5"?

It actually looks a little lower with the stock rims. I'm looking to do 2.5 drop front and rear on my 67 bug. This post has helped my out.....just curious what size are you running in the back?

The fronts are 155/60/15; The backs 205/60/15
I went small on the front, cuz i was worried about rubbing. I think the 175's would have been ok.
But I was pretty sure I still needed the stock rims, bcuz the other ones needed the adaptors which made it stick out just a little more.

NICE! Def using this as reference for mine! I have a 2" narrowed adjustable beam and disc brakes. Going to look at the ones you have or slightly bigger (175/55). Hopefully I fix my rubbing issue
