I remember i almost rear ended a GT40 back in 2006 or so with my So42..
scariest moment of my life... at the time.
EDIT: i do remember having a great view of the engine inches from him bumper... _________________ 1964 Turkis Flipseat |

So that isn't a GT40 right? It's a Ford GT.

The initial poster's photo is, indeed, a GT40, but most likely one of the replicas. |

Ah, I see it now. I just figured the GT40 wasn't street driveable. I suppose a replica might be.
Really neat car either way, and certainly a surprise to see out and about. _________________ nothing |

I saw one of these or something like it in Boca Raton (millionaires up the wazoo) a few weeks ago driving on SR441. |

There's an even stronger chance of it being a Superformance GT40 replicar. They briefly felt out the local market for those things about 5 years ago with a showroom/dealership here in Meridian! http://www.superformance.com/
These cars are built in South Africa and are completely legit, Ford approved company. Their showroom had the GT40, a couple cobras and the hard-roofed Daytona coupe (my favorite). I tried to talk them into hiring me- glad now they didn't, they weren't here long. _________________
